Where Challenge Creates Opportunity

PITTSFIELD, MA: THE NEXT CHAPTER

PITTSFIELD, MA: THE NEXT CHAPTER

As the largest city and economic hub of Berkshire County, Pittsfield’s health and vitality have an outsized impact on the region as a whole, and for generations, General Electric was a defining presence. As GE began closing operations and thousands of jobs were lost throughout the ’80s and ’90s, Pittsfield underwent a significant transition—one that presented both challenges and an opportunity to shape what came next.

Rewriting the future, we've spent more than a decade bringing together investment, real estate, philanthropy, and partnerships to help build a stronger, more connected city for all. From businesses and housing to community spaces, nonprofits, and civic life, our work reflects a belief that lasting change happens when the pieces of a place are strengthened together.
